"Surely You're Joking Mr....

Richard Feynman (1918–1988), winner of the Nobel Prize in physics, thrived on outrageous adventures. Here he recounts in his inimitable voice his experience trading ideas on atomic physics with Einstein and Bohr and ideas on gambling with Nick the Greek; cracking the uncrackable safes guarding the most deeply held nuclear secrets; accompanying a ballet on his bongo drums; painting a naked female torero—and much else of an eyebrow-raising nature. In short, here is Feynman's life in all its eccentric glory—a combustible mixture of high intelligence, unrelenting curiosity, and raging chutzpah.

The Legend Of Colton H. Bryant

In The Legend of Colton H. Bryant, Alexandra Fuller uses her trademark lyrical prose and sharp eye for human nature to chronicle Colton's journey into the dark heart of the modern energy boom. She captures the camaraderie of the rig workers, the beautiful wildness of the American West, and the cold reality of an industry that treats human lives as disposable resources. Part celebration of an untamable spirit and part fierce critique of corporate greed, this moving biography is a stunning tribute to an ordinary, extraordinary life. An excellent read for fans of literary non-fiction, compelling biographies, and deep human stories.
