Book Condition Description

Introduction

It is important to note that the overall condition of a book is taken into consideration before a rating is given. A book will have one or more of the imperfections listed under a condition category, not all. It is important that you compare and contrast the rating given to the pictures provided.

Clearance books will fall within the worn and poor categories in most cases. No extra photos will be provided for clearance items.

Rare and Collectible Books may be rated differently, as they are vintage and valuable. Enough photos will be provided for you to judge the condition of the book, regardless of our rating given.

MINT — Excellent to As New

PAPERBACKS – Slight

These books will be in an overall excellent to as new condition. They may show slight imperfections, such as:

● Cover may show slight scuffs and/or scrapes and/or scratches.

● Cover may show very slight fading or darkening.

● Cover may show slight edge-wear/shelf-wear.

● Cover may have very slightly curled or warped edges.

● Cover may have very slight signs of laminate lifting.

● Spine may be very slightly cocked, slanted, or bent.

Note: Noticeable spine creasing involves deep, prominent folds that potentially break the color (revealing white paper base) and visibly distort the spine. An internally cracked hinge or split external joint may be present, but the binding will still be intact and tight with no loose pages.

Note: Significant to Severe spine creasing features permanent cracks running across the book's spine. This heavy wear indicates severely stressed glue or threads, causing the book to permanently bend and easily fall open to specific pages due to an internally cracked hinge. This may cause pages to loosen, but not in all cases.
